The Cloisonne Chest Plate is inspired by medieval armor and antique floral patterns. This chest plate reflects a form of protection against my own personal fears of the unknown. Colors associated with fear include red and purple and are connected to the flowers to signify beauty in fear. These elements on the chest plate signify strength in weakness, amplifying the dichotomy of fragility with strength.
